OUR NEW LOGO

WEA Guernsey was established in 1982 as an adult education association.  It is a voluntary body, non-political and non-sectarian, and endeavours to provide a programme of courses and talks to meet the interests and needs of the people of Guernsey.

This year it was decided to redesign the Guernsey WEA logo.  The Art and Design department of Guernsey College of Education was asked to run a competition among its students.  This resulted in the new logo, designed by Matt James and incorporating his 3 C’s strap line:

Choose your subject

Challenge your ideas

Change your future

WEA Chairman Jurat David Le Conte & Matt James

The new corporate identity has resulted in a complete re-design of the WEA website and literature.

Many new courses have been added and suggestions and ideas for new courses are always welcome.  Anyone with a particular expertise or special interest who would be willing to become a tutor is asked to contact the Chairman.  Contact details of all the committee listed below.

ENROLMENT
Enrolling on a WEA Course is simple. Many courses are very popular and have limited numbers, so early enrolment is recommended.

You may complete one of the forms bound into the brochure, or click on the printable enrolment forms in the red box on this page, and send it with a cheque made to “WEA” to the Enrolment Secretary. In this way you may enrol one or more persons on one or several courses.
Alternatively you may complete the Online Enrolment Form on this website. If vacancies still exist you will receive email confirmation and be given a week to send in the required payment to secure your place. Online applications require separate forms for each person.
All enrollment fees must be paid in full, in advance, regardless of the number of sessions attended.
Because students on French and/or Italian Language courses are allocated according to their experience, please make direct telephone contact with the Tutors prior to enrolment.
Enrolments cannot be made over the telephone. However, enquiries about courses can be made with the Enrolment Secretary on 237888 or email enrol@wea.org.gg
Confirmation of enrolment will be sent out as soon as full payment is recieved. A stamped addressed envelope would be appreciated.
Should a course have to be cancelled or altered if numbers are insufficient or for any other reason, notification will be given as soon as possible. Refunds will be made for cancelled courses and if appropriate for altered courses. Refunds will not otherwise be made.
Courses are free to those in receipt of unemployment or similar benefit, and some verification will be required.
HTB. In this brochure when the run of a course is interrupted by a Half Term Break the date is shown in this way: HTB Datemailto:enrol@wea.org.gg?subject=WEA%20Questionshapeimage_1_link_0

Course Gift Vouchers

Why not make a gift of a course such as a Wine Tasting, Crafts or an Historic Walk?

Just follow the instructions on the Enrolment Form.  No refunds can be made should the recipient be unable to attend the course, but a change or course can be made or credit given (for future use) as long as 2 weeks’ notice in writing is given.

Gift vouchers are normally sent to the payee so that a message can be added before giving it to the recipient.
